Rain possible until the end of the weekMirdif, inland
NCM's Dr Ahmed Habib told Khaleej Times to expect rain until the end of the week: light to moderate, sometimes heavy, with possible thunder and gusty winds. Inland Dubai near Mirdif and the Dubai–Al Ain road are named. Downdrafts can blow dust and cut visibility in open areas, so slow down when it gets hazy. Source: Khaleej Times · 13 Oct 2026 |

School fees next year: not decided yet
Fees were frozen for 2026–27. Whether they rise next year is open, and the decision is expected in April or May. Under the old framework, a school with the same rating could raise fees up to the education cost index, which was 2.35% for 2025–26. A school with a better rating could raise up to double that, and a school with a lower rating could not raise at all. KHDA inspections now come with no more than 24 hours' notice.
